I’m going to recall what’s happening last Sunday which is the KPOP Linked happened last May 15 at the Fisher Mall’s Activity Center, it was a one very hell of the Sunday because of the things that I’m going to share despite of unexpected delays (yes, they scheduled at around 11:00 in the morning). I’m not to talk about the delays but here we go.
The Venue
Since for the second time I visited the Fisher Mall since last January of this year, I asked the guards if where is the activity center and they answered, on the second floor, I noticed on the activity center during daytime, there’s a natural light during daytime (thanks to Mr. Golden Sun) and also have a hanging thingy because it’s summer.
The Price
Are you asking for the price? Well the admission price is so pretty affordable, it costs 100 but since they’re selling shirts, I bought it to have a free pass, so luckily, we have to sit down in the front row to see what’s happening or what happens next.
The Competition
And since they had 4 competitions to join, each individual, duo or group (particularly KPOP CGs) have joined each of it.
First up is the KPOP Cosplay Competition, where they portray their favorite KPOP Idols or groups by showing off their looks (yes, I referring costumes), the moves and the grooves.
Following up is the KPOP Singing Competition where they expressed their hearts out through singing their favorite KPOP tunes.
Next is the KPOP Collab Competition where two cover groups and 2 KPOP hits are now mixed and matched to make them move and groove. And also the spectators make them wild.
And last but not the least, the KPOP Cover Group Competition where the cover groups showing their knack on the dance floor by dancing their favorite KPOP hits.
The Performance
After we screamed due to competitions, it’s time to take ourselves slow by watching and enjoying the performances.
First up with the hosts Paolo, Krisan, Drena and Elij performing their song “Goodbye Summer” by F(X).
Second is the Astral Movement also doing their knack by dancing some tunes from BTS and Seventeen. And also, I will post the video of this matter.
Next up is Chaos doing their own thing on the dancefloor by dancing a tune from VIXX if I’m not mistaken.
And last but not the least the performance came from Link Up Prod’s Vincent Igno and Spectrum also showcasing their own dancing skills to the crowd.
The Fashion Show
After the performance, we witnessed models walking on the catwalk by showing off their great looks in sleeky yet fashionable outfits by Cee Market.
Notably for me in the show was Joey Tay, Kitty Almazora, Ken de Guzman, JM Lee and Mariz Alcantara.
And the main highlight of the show, is the Foreignay Dance Diva, no other than, Dasuri Choi.
The Crowd
Of course, we will not called the KPOP Event without a wild and energetic spectators inside the activity center. I witnessed the people screaming, shouting and cheering while doing their performances, competitions and the models walking the runway.
Conclusion
Okay, to cap off, what a memorable and worthwhile Sunday tho, also to sum up my Summer experience despite of delays, mishaps and others but I shrugged off because I enjoyed a lot. From competitions, fashion shows, performances, energetic crowd and hype.
And also before I went home early, I met one of the models which is Kristine Almazora, one of the winners of the KPOP Idol Look-a-like 2015 last KPOPCON7 and the kid who cosplays my bias in Twice.
Then, I met sir Vincent Igno of Lin-Up Productions, he was a very warm and down-to-earth guy. So as a souvenir, I took a snap with him and we had a brief chat (more like less than 60 seconds) and I told him that the event was successful.
So, I shall return in the next KPOP Events organized by Link-Up–as long as I have an allowance.
